The mission of our national foundation is sight preservation and service to those who are visually impaired or blind. In order to achieve this goal, we host a huge, campus-wide fundraiser each year in Maggs pool. This fundraiser is called Anchor Splash and is a swimming competition featuring novelty and traditional relay races. It is always a fun event where we hope to raise a lot of money while educating our campus about our philanthropy and all the good we do as Delta Gammas. In addition to Anchor Splash, we introduced two new fundraisers in 2016: Anchor Slam and Delta Jamma. Anchor Slam was a basketball tournament with participants from all different clubs, sororities, and fraternities. Delta Jamma, on the other hand, was a picnic/barbecue with live music and games that took place on one of our campus's beautiful greens and was open to the public as well as the entire Salisbury University student body.
